My name is Achilleas Kalantzis, and I am the founder and owner of Suncord Audiolab, a professional recording studio based in Ioannina, Greece.
Music and sound have been lifelong passions. I earned my Integrated Master’s degree from the Department of Audiovisual Arts at Ionian University, where I focused on audio engineering, interactive sound systems, data sonification, music technology, and visual arts. Later, I shared my experience as an instructor of Music Production and Sound Engineering at IEK Delta 360.
As an active musician, composer, and producer, I continue to write, record, and perform internationally with Varathron, Aenaon, and Katavasia, while also releasing electronic music under the name Aural Haze. Performing and collaborating with artists around the world has given me valuable insight into both the creative and technical sides of music production.
Since 2012, I have worked professionally as a recording, mixing, mastering, and production engineer, collaborating with numerous artists, bands, and record labels. My production and engineering credits include Varathron, Triumpher, Sakis Tolis, Blind Tendril, Suffering Souls, Ushala, Isolert, Thlipsis, Aenaon, Spider Kickers, Move the Sun, Thyrathen, Grand Bewitchment, Synteleia, Katavasia, No Hand Path, Riffobia, and many more.
Through my long-standing collaboration with Floga Records, I specialized in vinyl mastering. Since 2022, I have served as the in-house mastering engineer for VIC Records, one of the Netherlands’ longest-running extreme metal labels. My work also includes audio restoration, archival digitization, and mastering for both digital and physical media. More recently, I became the in-house engineer for His Wounds Records and Oneiric Terror Records. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working on releases and remasters for legendary artists including Possessed, Grave Digger, Angel Dust, Iced Earth, Thy Light, Sacramentum, Nightfall, Rotting Christ, Crimson Moon, and Malevolent Creation, among many others.
In 2021, I also collaborated with MIA Laboratories as a Product Specialist and Software Demonstrator, helping showcase innovative audio processing tools to engineers and musicians worldwide.
In 2025, Suncord Audiolab entered a new chapter by relocating to a larger, purpose-built recording facility. The new studio features two acoustically optimized recording spaces—a spacious Live Room and an isolated Booth—alongside a professionally designed Control Room. This expanded facility offers greater flexibility for everything from solo artists and voice-over work to full-band productions, allowing simultaneous recording sessions and an efficient workflow without compromising sound quality.
